Obeying for Your Own Good

Fourth Commandment

In the fourth commandment God promises that obeying our parents and other authority will lead to a blessed life. At the root of obedience to earthly authority is faith to trust God’s love. If we trust his love we will want to follow his ways.

 

No Wonder You’re so Tired!

Third Commandment

In this commandment concerning Sabbath, God’s real intention is that we find rest not only for our bodies, but especially for our souls.  This rest is available to us on any and every day of the week.

 

More Than a Name

Second Commandment

God’s  name is more than a name. It signfies his character and his acts by which he has saved us.  Here we learn how we can misuse his name without saying a word, as well as how God wants us to use his name.
